Rev. Beth has served as rector of St. Mary’s for 19 years. Before being called to the priesthood, she enjoyed a rich career in special education. As a Daughter of the King and a Benedictine Oblate, Rev. Fain encourages others to a strong prayer life as well as a life balance with God at the center. Her son and daughter-in-law live in Bend, Oregon and her daughter lives in New York and is the author of the Homesick Texan cookbooks.

A 2016 graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary, Alan Bentrup currently serves as Curate at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Cypress, Texas. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Alan worked for 10 years in a marketing and public relations firm in Dallas and Houston before attending seminary. He, his wife Elizabeth (a teacher at St. Thomas Episcopal School), and sons Ford and Walker live in Houston.

Alan's little known fact: Alan also is co-founder and curator of Missional Voices, an organization that hosts gatherings to promote conversation about innovative ministries and missional communities throughout The Episcopal Church.
Russ Oechsel was ordained as deacon ten years ago and also serves as Archdeacon for the Diocese of Texas. His ministry focus is mission opportunities outside the walls of St. Mary’s such as disaster relief and rebuilding efforts. Prior to ordination, Russ worked in human resources in the oil and gas industry.

Little known fact: Deacon Russ loves cars and motorcycles and has an automotive lift in his garage to indulge his hobby.
